You get the owner as your DJ, not an employee:

If you know much about Milwaukee area DJ services, then you probably know most have several disc jockeys working for them as employees. This means you probably won't get the best disc jockey available. Furthermore, it also means you probably won't get a disc jockey who puts all his heart and soul into the performance, as employees usually do not perform as well as an owner.

It is my belief that if you really want a happy customer, then don't let someone else do the job, which is why I personally perform at all events and do not hire others to do the job. It is "always" my objective to satisfy the customer, as word of mouth is the best form of advertising I can have.

Something to think about:

When the owner of a disc jockey service sends an employee to your special event, that's an additional person getting paid besides the owner. There is also additional equipment, insurance, advertising and vehicle expenses that are considered when setting their prices.
